Koněprusy caves are part of the Czech Karst and  are situated between Karlštejn and Křivoklát castles, 5 km south of  Beroun. The caves form the longest cave system in the Czech republic and are developed on three levels, the difference in elevation being about 70 metres. They are over 2 km long, the accessible part is 590 m long and the sightseeing tour lasts one hour. The sightseeing tour leads visitors through cave corridor,  several areas with stalactical decoration and ends on the top level of the caves, that housed a secret workshop of money forgers in the 15th century. The curiosity of this cave system is the so-called Koněprusy chalcedony rosaces, that contain opal.
