The Plzeň Regions extends over the southwest part of the Czech Republic. A great part of the region is covered by the mountain ranges Šumava and Český les, places famous for their picturesque countryside and developed tourist industry. The industrial production is based mainly in the regional capital of Plzeň. The most famous local produce would undoubtedly be the world famous Prazdroj beer.
