Prague - Bertramka - W.A.Mozart Museum, Culture and Fun, Concerts

Bertramka, was the home of the Dusek family and the place where Mozart stayed most frequently when he was in Prague. It is said that he composed some very fine pieces of music here, the most famous being the overture to Don Giovanni which he supposedly completed here the night before the premier! The museum is situated near the busy commercial centre of Andel but once you enter the archway into the garden it is easy to transport yourself back in time. Classical music concerts are held here in the recital room or, in the summer, in the beautiful gardens.
