Kamenice nad Lipou is a town in Pelhřimov district. The first written references of the town date back to 1267. The town used to belong to the chateau, so it had a character of subjective town. This small town whose importance was over the years rather local excelled with the crafts. The local castle, (later chateau) has always been related to the history of Kamenice. There is monumental lime-tree in Castle Park and its age is averaged at about 600-800 years. A natural cemetery; Bradlo, which is considered the most beautiful in central Europe, was built above the town.
