The observation tower on the Čeřovka hill is the oldest one in Český ráj. It is situated in the northern part of the town of Jičín. Milohlídka, as it is called, was built in 1843 by a local administrative officer Hansgirg who wanted to provide poor people with work. It became very popular after 1885 when its close surroundings was turned into a park. Nowadays it is a favourite destination of many tourists as the tower offers a great view of Jičín!
