It is important to realise that the Jewish museum in Prague actually comprises several sites and buildings. The admission fee, therefore, might initially seem rather expensive but it is certainly worth paying as it allows you access to the Old Jewish Cemetery, the Klausen Synagogue, the Maisel Synagogue, the Pinkas Synagogue and the Ceremonial Hall. The Jewish Museum in Prague has one of the most extensive and comprehensive collections of Jewish artefacts in the world, including  over  40,000 exhibits and 100,000 books. The Pinkas synagogue is slightly different and here you can find the names, inscribed by hand on the walls, of all the victims of the Nazi holocaust, whilst upstairs there is an exhibition of childrens art from Terezin.
